[Slashcode-general] disappearing storyedit buttons

Help, insanity beckons. Having broken the symlink to admin.pl, sometimes the
update buttons appear, sometimes they don't. When they don't, I refresh the
page and they appear. But then they disappear again. From a page where they
appear, they disappear. From a page where they've disappeared, they reappear
again.

I will try updating other templates in the Admin folder, though I'm not sure
exactly what happens in that process. Only if that fails shall I lop off a
limb.
