[Slashcode-general] Extracols

Can someone point me to where I can read about extracols? I posted this
question about a week ago and got some helpful replies but not enough to get
me going. Basically, it seems that this was used for book reviews and while
it hasn't changed from Slash1 to Slash2, it should still work as a vestige
of Slash1. But how do I activate these extra columns?
