Well, I would start by removing the Include of slash.conf from your
httpd.conf.  Then, if Apache works, add it back in, but comment out
everything in it (including the Include line in it).  If Apache fails with
nothing from slash.conf in it, then Apache has a problem somewhere else.
Keep adding things in until you find something that breaks it.
