[Slashcode-development] countComments problem

Running Slash 2.2.5.

So, I can't seem to display the number of comments within a story.

I tried calling:

my $commentcount = $slashdb->countComments($sid);
print $commentcount;

But that does nothing.

slashd is running.. And I also can't seem to call it from within a 
template, as in:

[% Slash.db.countComments(story.sid) %]
