I had actually posted a question like this, but sent it from the wrong email address and went to bed before I realized my mistake. In any case, what he is trying to say is that the indentations for threaded replies is somewhat hardcoded if someone (like us) wanted to put replies in table rows so that we could add extra information in a structured format. I had to mess with too much code, I think, so maybe someone should rethink the constant indent variables being appended to thread subjects.. Just my opinion.. Subject: [Slashcode-development] template gaffe? we've been trying to build a BB style template plugin for a while now. one of the things this requires is a very flexible display of comment replies. (by default, the <UL> of text links which are the subjects of replies to the comment.) however, aut told me that a great deal of this html code, if not all, is put into a constant within slash code and is thus static making it impossible to use templates to change the look of this reply list.. since 'all things display' are supposed to be a template issue, as far as i've been told on #slash, i think this is an oversight. would it be possible to get this html put into slash's templates? (and any other html that's in slash code, would be nice to bring *everything* out to the template level.) if you want line #'s or anything else, including testing, contact me at con...@ho... regards ps: i'm on #slash now if anyone wants to chat. _______________________________________________ Slashcode-development mailing list Sla...@li... http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/slashcode-development |
