There are two slashds, one that runs constantly and one that fires up
at startup to run the real slashd. The real slashd gets its uid from
a file called slash.sites in /usr/local/slash.
The other runs as root.

First, keep in mind that we generate a lot of the docs from
pod that is in the docs directory (so all changes should relate
to them).
If it is a new doc, or a massive rewrite, I would send it to the list
for people to comment on and then we will just use it.
Minor changes should be patches (and I do look at the sourceforge
patch list).

That is what I was thinking. I was originally going to just modify
httpd.conf,
but that was a distaster waiting to happen.
