What!? Haven't you heard, the semantic web is the future of the

That's fine, and certainly understandable.

I just wanted to make sure that you guys weren't opposed to semantic
markup in Slashcode/Slashdot before taking the time to put together a patch.

There should be no extra work for the editors who post the stories. The
first pass would merely identify story titles, dates, abstracts and
source URLs, which would all be done automatically. No extra work would
be required by any of the authors or editors.

We'll put together a patch, submit it via SourceForge, and chat about it
in more depth after we have some code to review.
