I try to create a Slashdot account using the Lynx 2.8.3
web browser.
I enter the following into the form:
Nick Name: Section 508
Real Email: section508@pineight.com
[X] Replies to my comments will be mailed to me
[ ] Send me the newsletter
[ ] Send me the daily headlines
My timezone is [-0500 Eastern_____________________]
To confirm you're not a script,
please type the text shown in this image: (random
letters) ________
The random letters do not appear in Lynx. I tried typing
"(random letters)" in the field next to (random
letters), but on
submit, it produced only "You failed to confirm you are
a human."
Is there a way for a user of Lynx, or any other person
who cannot
view GIF images, to create an account on slashdot.org
or any other
Slashcode server that uses HumanConf?
