It would be nice upon logging in to Slashdot to see the
headlines from 1, 2 and 3 years ago, and links to the
stories they represent. One day there will be
headlines for the current year and every other year
reading "New Hotmail Vulnerability," or "Linus Releases
Kernel, Runs Away to Hide."
Since things happen so fast / change so rapidly but in
certain ways of course stay forever the same, and
Slashdot is a discussion site where events in the past
inform the ongoing discussion of the present and
future, it would be rather cool I think to have a build
in discussion-seed of this variety.
Also, it would be a mild incentive to logon rather than
browse as an anonymous coward, while not actually
hurting the AC browser.

This would be fun... I'd implement it using a combination
of HOF and Issue Mode. I'd display the top comment
getting story from 1,2, and 3 years ago, and also provide
links to that issue. Low priority, but fun.
