It'd be supercool if portald actually respected RSS
files' requests about how often to be updated,
instead of just doing a check every hour. Example
from Slashdot's own RSS file:
<syn:updatePeriod>hourly</syn:updatePeriod>
<syn:updateFrequency>1</syn:updateFrequency>
