#4554 Logged in, commenting fine, "User doesn't exist"

When I click my username in the top menu, it returns "The user you requested does not exist, no matter how much you wish this might be the case." I am able to post comments under my name and change account settings, but not able to access the screen that lists my recent comments. This changed a few days ago, it worked normally before that.

Although this is wild speculation, I believe it may be the username that is causing problems, as it contains "!=" (quotes are not part of the username.)
