The main Slashdot page starts with 10 stories, and expands to 20, and then 30, when the reader hits the bottom of the page. The only way to get around this incredibly annoying "feature" is to log in and turn it off. Why, exactly, should someone who only wants to read the quote at the bottom of the main page be forced to scroll to the bottom of the page more than once in order to do so?

Unless, of course, this is some brilliant ploy to annoy people into registering on Slashdot.

Additionally, the registration process for filing this bug /could/ have been as simple as using my Slashdot login info, but instead it got mixed up with OpenID and became this whole convoluted process. "Log-in with OpenID" turned in to "Give us your OpenID and then register with Sourceforge, too!" What the hell is going on here?

Real bugs? Nope. Only way to provide feedback on these abysmally awful user interface problems? So far as I can see.
