#4330 index2 not refreshing

On slashdot.org, after a pause resulting from a 'timeout' (because of lack of activity, where the trans-gray box pops up), the home page (index2.pl) is not refreshing when you click 'unpause'. This was working just fine until the other day when you rolled out many other site changes . Cycling the pause/play buttons does not cause it to load new articles either. Only workaround I've found is to reload the page.

I believe it was the changes on 1 April that broke it but it was roughly in the past week or so that this I noticed the bug.
