This just started happening. Firefox 3.0.7 under windows. The slider on the left is see-through and non functional. I'm not logged in, and it's occuring on all stories. See screenshot.
Experiencing this problem with Firefox 3.6.2 when logged in. Horizontal slider seems to work fine when not logged in, but when I log in the vertical sidebar version appears the same as bencoder's. This problem does not manifest in Chrome, IE7 or IE8, but is consistent in Firefox.

Bump. Same issue here, Firefox 3.6.8 on Windows 7 64-bit. Logging in and out does nothing, changing to private browsing and/or deleting cookies likewise.
The same issue seems to affect Firefox 4.0 beta 1, but it isn't present in IE 8. Probably safe to say it's a Firefox/Gecko issue, any fixes please?

See side bar on left hand side.
This problem just started for me yesterday evening. I have the problem with both Firefox 3.0.7 and Safari 4 Public Beta on Mac OS X 10.5.6.
Same problem here, first noticed this morning.
Running XP and portable Firefox 3.0.7. Tested 3.0.6 (had a backup) with same result
It seems to be fixed now. If you're using Firefox use Control+shift+r on a discussion page to force a complete reload.
