#4303 Maximum stories preference not being updated

I am looking at http://slashdot.org/users.pl?op=edithome using Firefox 3.0.6 (not bin) on Gentoo Linux amd64.

Most of the preferences work except changing "Maximum Stories" from the default of 30. No matter what value I enter when I click "Save", this particular preference does not get saved and remains 30.
