The contents of an HTML cite tag (used to enclose the titles of books, films, etc.) are not displayed inline in comments displayed on a user page. Instead, they are shown as a block: the display is identical to that for a blockquote. See screenshot. The cite tag is displayed correctly in comments on story pages. Go figure.
