When an article summary (on the main page) is compressed due to a sidebox displaying, sometimes various text around the summary gets drawn in/over/around the summary text. I've attached a screenshot for today that shows this behavior.

This was captured using Firefox 3.0.2 on Fedora 9, not using any extensions that modify pages or display. I've seen this same artifact using other versions on other OSes, and also seen IE7 do it as well.

I can confirm this bug on Kubuntu 8.04 with Firefox 3.0.4.
It becomes very annoying especially when article links are at the bottom of the summary and I can not click on them because of the tag links popping up.

Screen resolution is 1024x768. Some space on the left side is taken by the taskbar, and firefox runs maximized.

I guess the book review box is taking up way too much space on the right side of the main Slashdot page.
