#4230 "not allowed to use this resource" for journals, moderation

As of Oct 2, my Slashdot user account lost the ability to reply to comments, post new comments, create new Journal entries, edit existing Journal entries, or do moderation. I can't access any of my preferences to edit them, either. For any of these activities, I get the message "You are not allowed to use this resource." I can reply and post as an Anonymous Coward, but now when logged in.

The problem is the same from two different computers (work and home), on two different ISPs, so it's not my employer putting up some kind of a filter.

Same problem on either computer using IE 6.0 or Firefox 3.0.3 under WinXP Pro or Home, SP3.
