#4162 Can't stay logged in

I have to log in to Slashdot constantly, over and over and over and over again. While still on the site. It doesn't seem to be taking. Cookies are enabled. Popups are not. Running Linux (Ubuntu 8.04) on an HP tablet ("designed" for micro$uck's vista). This is getting annoying. And to ask/report this possible bug, I had to create an account for Sourceforge, and login AGAIN! Is this a Slashdot issue, a browser issue (using Seamonkey from Mozilla) or an OS issue? Is there a fix or a work around besides having to constantly re-login? Oh, and I do have password manager working.
