Since a few days ago, i'm no longer able to expand comments when viewing articles or the Firehose.
in Firehose, when i click on one item, it opens in new page.
in Comments it doesn't open at all.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14
with Firebug, Livehttpheaders and some other common extensions, blocked most of them.
In Firebug, there are about errors reported when the comments load and the counter continues to increase constantly. The error repeatedly reported is:
$dom is not defined
http://images.slashdot.org/comments.js?T_2_5_0_208
Line 1453
$dom is not defined
[Break on this error] var gd = $dom('d2act');
error as seen in firebug

Just a small update.
While viewing the article here: news.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/06/13/1333223
when the page loads the following errors occur automatically:
YAHOO is not defined
[Break on this error] YAHOO.namespace("slashdot");
comments.js (line 1637)
$dom is not defined
[Break on this error] var box = $dom('commentControlBoxStatus');
comments.js (line 1427)
YAHOO is not defined
[Break on this error] gCommentControlWidget = null;
article.pl (line 418)
$dom is not defined
[Break on this error] var gd = $dom('d2act');
After this happens, I've also noticed that the same error message as reported before gets triggered in Firebug each time I use the scroll wheel, in either direction.
