This template has the following problems (in order from "actual problems" to "I think it's ugly")
1. A strange grey rounded rectangle on the left-hand edge hovering over nothing for no reason. I would guess this is supposed to be the left edge of the "Comments" bar directly above it, but the colors don't match so I'm not sure.
2. Stories in this section list themselves as "related stories." If there are no actual related stories, this section of the page should simply remain blank.
3. This template shares all of the (unfixed!) issues I've reported in the other new templates, including the grey borders around comments not lining-up with the comment titles. (And the ugly grey round-rect buttons-but-not-buttons, although those aren't in this screenshot.)
4. The survey wording is extremely confusing. "36% voted 'early' for 'I wake up at'" WTF? 36% of what? Did they vote early, or did they vote for an option named "early?" Why the weird single quotes, is this written in English or ECMAScript? A simple word "Survey:" in front of this text would make it much more clear.
5. Terrible contrast between story text and background color. I'd suggest either keeping the story text black and vast lightening the background, or upping the font size. (Or both.)

I just saw the comments version of this template.
6. The comments field is extremely narrow, creating a huge amount of whitespace to the right of it. See screenshot: http://schend.net/images/screenshots/slashdot/slashdot_idle_comments.png I'd like to emphasize that this screenshot was taken using default Firefox settings.
