I'm using Safari 3.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.2, default font is Lucida Grande 13. My resolution is 1280x1024, I don't know the exact size of my browser window.

There are a number of comments, some of which are by slashdot employees. They have an extra icon next to their name. Apparently, this icon is too large, so the text shifts down a little, and is then cut off.
I think the proper fix for that is
vertical-align:text-top;
on the icon, so it doesn't move the baseline down if it's larger than the text. I have no idea how well that is supported though. It seems to work in Safari.
Another problem with this page is that there is no obvious link to the original post that the discussion is about.

Note: looks fine with my 16 pt font size, but at 13, yes, this effect is present.
