#3989 Journal Submission Not in Recent Submissions

If I write a journal entry at slashdot.org and choose the option "Publicize: Submit this story to be posted to the Slashdot front page", the submission is not added to the Recent Submissions list for the user.

The only way to have submissions get into the list is to use the submit.pl page.
