If you try to click to expand a story in the FireHose in Konqueror (from KDE 3.5.6 running under Linux) instead of opening it automatically votes the story down and then the vote link is then replaced by static "voted" text, and after that you can then click on the story link. I'm not sure if this is a Konqueror bug or a Slashdot.org site bug, but it's clearly not desirable behaviour.
It also raises the question as to whether it's a good idea to disable the vote immediately after voting in case the user accidentally clicks on the wrong vote button or even clicks on one of the vote buttons when they didn't want to vote at all, as in my case.
Incidentally the articles I voted down by mistake were "ipod recycle bin in MSHQ 2007-05-25 22:03"
and "Gadget Hell; Home to the Crisis in CE 2007-05-25 22:00".
