#3918 New Discussion system root level posting

In order to make a post at the root level of a discussion I find it necessary to log out of the "new discussion system".

If there is a way, it needs to be made more obvious.
If there isn't a way, there needs to be one.

In most ways I find the new discussion system superior (as long as I'm patient with the original download of an article), but this one has been an occasional irritant for quite a long time.
