I read Slashdot through the RSS feeds on Google Reader. Windows XP, Firefox 2.0.0.3.
Specifically, I subscribe to Main, Games, and Developers.
http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdot
http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdotDevelopers
http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdotGames
Recently, Slashdot began adding "Read more of this story at Slashdot" links to each post in the feeds.
On the Games feed, this looks correct. On its own line after the summary, the text reads "Read more of this story at Slashdot.", where 'Read more of this story' is hyperlinked to the article. No problem.
However, on the main feed and the Developers feed, instead the read-more text is run in to the last paragraph of the summary, and is not hyperlinked. It looks like this:
... Department of Homeland Security to attempt to implement the bill. Montana is the first state to implement such a law."Read more of this story at Slashdot.Read more of this story at Slashdot.Read more of this story at Slashdot.
I don't subscribe to the other feeds, so I am not sure how widespread the issue is.
Yours,
Dan Lewis
