#3859 Intel ad crashing Firefox Mac 2.0

Firefox 2 for the Mac is crashing when the Intel ad with running cats appears on the page. I had read the initial Slashdot page without a problem. When I clicked the "Yesterday's News" link, the page completely loaded, then the Intel ad with running cats appeared and about a second later Firefox crashed. This happened twice in a row. I switched to Firefox for Windows, but the running cats ad did not appear when I clicked the "Yesterday's News" link, so I wasn't able to verify if it was a problem on the Windows side. Here are my system specifics:

MacBook Pro 15-inch
Macintosh OS X 10.4.8
2 GHz Intel Core Duo
1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Firefox for the Mac version 2.0.0.1
Parallels 2.2 Build 1970
Firefox for Windows version 2.0.0.1
