Once a rating type is selected from the drop-down menu, the rating type becomes uneditable, and the moderation point is instantly spent. Since moderation categories are not grouped by negative or positive points (for example, "Redundant" is right above to "Insightful") can be a problem if the moderator accidentally clicks one item above or below his or her intended choice. This can result in accidentally assigning an opposite rating than intended, with the added bonus of spending the moderation point.

A further flaw is that, if the moderator then refreshes the page without clicking the "Moderate" button at the bottom, the choice can be redone, but an additional moderation point must be spent to do so.
