After the new CSS redesign, having more than two tabs
open, both on Slashdot, seems to crash the page.
I'm using Win XP SP2 32bit, Opera 9 Beta 8414; I haven'
t yet done any detective work on my own, but I do know
that the problem only arises when I click on a link to
read more of an article, and open it in a new tab.

Same here with Opera 9b on linux. The problem does not occur
with Opera 8.54 on windows.

I can confirm this too.
OS: Ubunutu Dapper (fresh install)
Opera Version: Opera 9 Beta 2 (build 236)
It's fine up until the point where it starts loading the
last one or two images at which point it freezes up and is
unusable.

The number of tabs is not always definitive - I have had
the same bug re-using the same tab (but the initial load
always appears to work so far). Disabling Javascript
appears to be a workaround. Symptoms are the opera.exe
process consumes all available CPU until killed.

Same, 9b on Mac OS 10.4.6 PPC, happens on multiple /.
sections (IT + others but not all) consistently. Have been
using Opera for 6 months, this is the first such problem I
have ever encountered.

This appears fixed in Opera 9.

Still fixed, I assume.

When reusing a tab to view articles opera will die. The
articles are selected by clicking on a link in the daily
slashdot headlines email.
