#2764 Possible moderation bug
I posted as an anonymous user on a forum, then later went
back and moderated on the same. I know that one is not
supposed to post and moderate on the same forum, but
since the system allowed me to first post anonymously and
then post, I thought that perhaps anon posts were allowed on
forums that one also moderated. After moderating, I later
went back and responded to a response to my anon post. Of
course, the system then removed the moderations I had
made.
In short, I posted as anon, moderated with mods accepted,
posted again as anon, and had moderations removed.
Is this how it is supposed to work, or should the system
have informed me when I attempted to moderate that I had
already posted to the forum?

Tim, can you take a look thru our logs and see what happened?
His uid is 525297.
Peter, we can easily find the moderations you did, but we're going
to have a devil of a time trying to figure out which anonymous
posts you made. Without those, Tim won't be able to reconstruct
what happened. Can you own up to them and either email their
cids to me (jamie@slashdot.org) or post them as a comment in
this bug? If you email, I'll keep them between members of our dev

I encountered this bug too. I posted AC
(http://science.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=175183&cid=14565362),
and afterward I was still allowed to moderate the thread. It
somehow knew not to let me mod my own AC post (not so
anonymous I guess), but I could mod up my parent.

I just finished moderating on /. yet the discussion would
still allow me to post to the discussion.
Is this actually a bug, or a mistake in the description on
the moderator guidelines page?
when I say just, I was mmoderating about 15 minutes before
posting this comment.
