#1 color-ftp.gz too large

i am trying to use slackftp to install slackware on a
notebook that has no cd-rom. i have tried nfs to do it
but i keep getting an error saying no access even
though i grant full access to the user account.

i would like to know how i can split the color-ftp.gz file
up over 5 disks as i dont mind using floppys and dont
want to install dos to use loadlin as the HD is only 850
MB

also i am running slack on the notebook via zipslack if
there is a way i can move the color-ftp.gz file to the HD
and use it from there after starting up with the boot
