Version 1.9 is an unstable development toward version 2.0, which will have an extended interface, making it easier to use in C++ and making the lower-level functions more available for people who want to roll their own SLA black boxes. Version 2.0 will also have black-box functions for processing POSIX-compliant command line options. Old C interfaces will be supported via wrappers around the new functions, so people using version 1 will not have to rewrite sla function calls.
