Even if @hofman stated multiple times that this isn't going to happen, I want to add my voice.
Skim is the default PDF powertool for many of us. Arguably the proprietary Skim notes are the best thing since sliced bread. Tabs (like done in PDF Expert – cf. draging a tab outside creates a new window = Safari-like behavior) would be the last missing thing on the agenda to make dealing with multiple open documents a breeze.

Yay, we finally want tabbed PDF browsing (like tabbed HTM browsing in today's webbrowsers or tabbed working in PhotoshopCS6 or tabbed writing in OpenOffice etc.pp.). That future began years ago!

Hi!
I know I may be hitting my head against a wall, but please (please!) bring tabs to Skim. I´m very used to Sente for Mac (apparently discontinued, but who knows) and they´ve had tabs for a long time. At least some shortcut to toggle between open documents. That would be gret too :)
Please?
BTW, thanks guys for this amazing piece of code.
Cheers!

Tabs are implemented by the system in 10.12
Tips: If you want to open tabs as default behavior (above MacOS 10.12), run the following command in the terminal:
