Incorporate tabs in Skim, so many pdf files can be open in one window at the same time.

Yes. Tabs needed. But a easy-to-access keyboard shortcut to switch among tabs is mandatory.

I would LOVE to see tabs in this already outstanding application!

Just wanted to chime in on tabs and say, wholeheartedly, I agree!

I'd like to second this feature - it would make my multiple PDF reading and reference that much easier.

I would love to see this too. Very handy for the workflow and organization of PDFs in one window.

Yay, we need tabbed PDF browsing (like tabbed HTM browsing in FireFox).

    This would be really great.

I also support this request, it would be quite useful and productive. Thanks!

This is not gonna happen. It is far too complex. Apple has no support for tabs, it's very hard to fit in Apple's document based app architecture (developer rule #1: don't fight the frameworks, we stick to that). It would require a huge overhaul of the code. Etc etc etc. So please, don't add comments, the answer is NO.

Would you reconsider bringing tabs to the pdf reader since apple is bringing tabs in Mavericks?

seriously, this is your priority 1, four more years ago? is it 0 right now?!

Skim seems like a great reader, and tabs would make it the best reader available. Surprising that it is so hard, Dioretsa (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/imaging_3d/dioretsa.html) and Mendeley both have tabbed PDFs...

If tabs are hard to implement, what about a side panel (a drawer) with a list of all open documents to switch between them?
I admit than to view multiple PDF's i sometimes consider opening them all in Safari.

    Thank you.

Tabs or any other way of having multiple documents w/out multiple windows would be fantastic e.g. could have a menu or drawer with names of open documents.

Yeah, why is this closed? Are there any chances to have a tabbed view in Lion OSx? Have a look at it, this is a must have feature ...

This shouldn't be too hard, see
    http://www.positivespinmedia.com/dev/PSMTabBarControl.html

With tabs support you would have the best PDF Reader for Mac and make many people very happy. I promise, i would pay for Skim (or donate, if that's what you prefer) once it supports tabs.

It's been almost 7 years, the priority also has been improved to 2 or 1 maybe to date.

But...where is my TAB, I need TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB, TAB...many many TABs.

It's ironical the tab is still in the cave. Apart from the tab feature, I have to say this is the best, the only one best pdf viewer I ever used so far. Anyway, I will keep an eye on it until I can't open my eyes.

1 is the lowest priority, not the highest. Read the comments (that matter.) The only reason this item is not closed is to avoid more duplicates.

So sad to know that, no plan to keep it polished?
