Thank you. I hadn't noticed I could do that (correction: it is "Convert to Curve' and not 'Convert to Text' of course). Now the drawback is that I can only convert to curve for a single text frame. If I select several text frames at the same time I cannot apply "Convert to Curve" anymore. This is a bit annoying if you have a lot of text frame to transform (like the numbers in front of the tics of a plot). Note for instance that it is possible to change the fonts of several text frames at once. So I believe it should not be too difficult to do that for the "Convert to Curve" as well.
