To make that a little more explicit --- sketch actually draws gradients as discrete
steps, but you can set the number pretty high.  Low numbers render fast, but
look blocky.

I typically use as many as 1000 gradient steps for printing without any problems,
but I'd leave the editor steps at 100 or less so it doesn't slow you down.

Seems like this ought to be in the preferences panel, doesn't it?
