#3 No text support on Mac OS X

sK1 cannot find any fonts under Mac OS X. No fonts are listed in the fonts window (ctrl-f), the error

Warning: I can't find font Slim. I'll use Slim instead.

is generated, and the fonts window then cannot be closed. None of the buttons in the fonts window work. As a result, it is impossible to use the text tool.

Opening a .svg file containing text (created in Inkscape) generates the errors

sK1 does not make any attempt to draw the image, even if there are also non-text objects present.
