Is there a way that I can take one photo every 24 hours?

Actually, I have already checked whether the camera has hidden setting that would allow interval longer than 20 sec: it doesn't, at least on my firmware version. (See Extra trivia of section "Setting Timelapse Photo Shooting Interval" in Chapter 9, PDF page 39)

So, as far as I know, the answer is no; unless you control it with a separate computer (embedded computer similar to Raspberry Pi is okay, but it has to be WiFi-capable).

Off the top of my head, another crude workaround is enabling camera's Car Mode setting in the Setup screen, then configure an electrical timer to power up camera's charger once every 24 hours (and stay ON for ~20 sec each time). This will cause the camera to "wake up" and shoot a short video once every 24 hours, then you could extract a photo frame out of each video when you are done.

This workaround limits the photo resolution to 1920x1080 (2 MP) though.

P.S. SJCAM SJ4000 WiFi has a full-sensor resolution of 2304x1536 (3.5 MP), not 12 MP. So you are not actually missing out that much in the term of photo resolution.
