Finally, we're really pleased to announce that SiteX CMS 0.8.0 Beta has been released. It's been a long time coming, and those of you who have downloaded any of the earlier release candidates will already know that it's worth the wait.

SiteX 0.7.4 Build 405 released. SiteX is an easy to use PHP/MySql based content management system, featuring gallery, journal, forum, guestbook, Polls, Links, Calendar and contact form and much more. SiteX also includes the following languages: English, Czech, Estonian, French, Italian, Russian, Slovak.
This latest build adds German language and browser RSS autodetection.

SiteX 0.7.4 Build 402 released. SiteX is an easy to use PHP/MySql based content management system, featuring gallery, journal, forum, guestbook, Polls, Links, Calendar and contact form and much more. SiteX also includes the following languages: English, Czech, Estonian, French, Italian, Russian, Slovak.
This latest update adds filtered user count to admin panel user manager, and adds version and build number to admin panel overview.

7th May 2008 saw release of SiteX 0.7.4. This release is fundamentally a "files only" release, which fixes various bugs and adds many new features. We recommend that all users of prior SiteX versions should upgrade, as some immportant security fixes are included.

This week work began on SiteX 0.7.4 Beta. - an interim update mainly aimed at improving some of the existing features of SiteX and delivering some bugfixes. The update will be a "Files only" update, meaning that no changes to the database structure will be made. Thats not to say that its lacking in new features, on the contrary, we have integrated some great new features into 0.7.4 already. Having said that, features which require database modifications will be deferred until 0.7.5 which will hopefully follow soon after.

We are also in the process of moving SiteX development onto Sourceforge. This will allow the development team to collaborate more efficiently across the globe, and will hopefully draw new members into the team.

Some important info was omitted from the Theme Notes for Upgrading to SiteX 0.7.3 beta. These instructions have now been updated. If you have already upgraded your themes we still recommend re-reading the instructions and in particular section 5.

Your patience has paid off! SiteX 0.7.3 has been released, and I must say, I think this is the most stable, bug-free core we have ever released. I cannot take full credit for this release myself. In the past month, Phil Mills (pmills) has joined in the development side of things to really take this release to the next level. Phil and I implemented a lot of new style changes around the core that will help you all customize SiteX even more than before. Phil also created three (3) new themes which are visually stunning. The theme you see is a modified version of the new Joombo theme, and we like it a lot! SiteX 0.7.3 beta is hoped to be released later today once the last few tweaks have been made. Hopefully this site is whetting your apetite!

Today we released the first set of languages for the localized 0.7 cores. Included in this release are Estonian, Italiano, and Slovak. Thank you to all who contributed these files. Localization takes patience and a lot of time. I am also grateful to everyone who is in the process of localizing SiteX. Expect more languages within the coming months.

SiteX will be launching a new core 0.7.3 which includes many new exciting features soon. Check out the forums for details and feel free to contribute comments.

I am proud to present the sparkling new 0.7 Beta core. We've gone through and hit many of the annoyances of the 0.6 core including minimal support for Mozilla and poor localization capability. We've also made sure to patch past security concerns. Our new core includes a feature-rich WYSIWYG with spell checking capabilites as well as a move toward total validation of XHTML 1.0 transitional. I'm pleased to announce the release of SiteX 0.6.4 Beta. This update includes some critical fixes for several problems we've had since the introduction of the 0.6 Beta including the setup stuck bug and special characters use. This update is considered critical due to these fixes, but it includes no additional features.

I am working on new features for 0.6.5 including the expansion of user capabilities that you have all been requesting. If you have any special requests, be sure to post them in the Suggestion Forum.... read more

The latest version of SiteX (0.6.1) is now available on the downloads page. This advance in the SiteX core has come after several months worth of development to improve the user system, upgrade components, and add more options at your control. SiteX 0.5 Beta users must completely upgrade to the new version as we did not develop an upgrade package for this version. We will be releasing upgrade scripts in future updates.... read more
