I have apache + Mysql + php 4.0.4pl1 and have managed to setup the released version with out a problem, all tests giving output. I have also tried the latest development which if possible I would like to use but upon going through the test site after setting up I get certain tests failling and others not doing anything at all. Is this because I don't have the right version of php?
All help appreciated with this matter as I would definitely like to make use of the features that are incorporated into the latest development version.
As a matter of interest when is this release going to be ready?
Matt

yes i'm sure the tests are failing because of your version of php.. the latest release of sitemanager definately takes advantage of newer features of the latest php releases.
we're going to shoot for a full stable release of 2.4 by the end of the year, with a couple prereleases prior to that.

thanks for the response, i have just setup PHP 4.1 on a windows system and although I am not having all the same errors I did with 4.0.4pl1 on linux I still get certain tests that fail, could this be something to do with how I have php 4 configured, I have looked everywhere for information regarding what the required PHP Apache Mysql to use and what config of PHP to use for sitemanager but have been unable to find anything.
I am still unsure if all the tests should produce output as half the links just bring up a page with a title, is this is what is supposed to happen.
am I am going to be unable to do anything with sitemanager unless i can get my test site to pass all the tests, is that correct?
sorry for all the questions,
Matt

I have now tried PHP 4.2.2 and am still having the same problem.
am I doing something really stupid ?
I can only think that either the tests just aren't right
or that there is some thing wrong with my 3 different installs and configs of php.
Has anyone got a test site setup that works and that I can have a look at .
thanks again
Matt
