Beta IV will be made available shortly, following the development of a new data-storage procedure, resulting in the creation of the Universal Array Structure and components that function very similarly to those found in the original site_file.
UAS will provide the site_file_lite system with a standard for storing and managing data without the use of a database, such as MySQL. With the adoption of a standard, site administration can be handled in more minimalistic fashion, akin to a website driven by phpMyAdmin entirely. In other words, we'll be able to do with one page what we've done with the original site_file in dozens. This will not only simplifiy the development of a website, but it will also simplify the installation of new extensions.
The latest update to site_file_lite brings various bug fixes and greater project direction (in other words, we've trimmed some things). The good news, however, is that we are moving forward with new features as well.
Our upcoming extension manager promises the greatest leaps as we march towards a general release. It will provide custom behaviors for every file type, which will allow a level of customization far beyond the basic text handling of webpages.... read more
I'm glad that we were added to the SourceForge database, since we're confident that we have a unique and useful application under way. Please stay tuned for a 1.0 version shortly (we really just have a few bugs to hammer out).
