#4 4.1.0 Doesn't install on postgres

When installing on postgresql/Debian, I'm getting an error on a database configuration page: "ERROR: SQLSTATE[08006] [7] FATAL: password authentication failed for user "www-data" FATAL: password authentication failed for user "www-data""

Though the username I specify is not www-data. www-data is a Debuan user name under which Apache/PHP is running.

$ php -v
