Hi, After problems compiling the development version, I investigated to find that ImageMagick-5.5.7 is not enough for it: I have the following error: mogrify_int.c: In function `check_argv_validity': mogrify_int.c:1302: `UndefinedCompressionQuality' undeclared (first use in this function) mogrify_int.c:1302: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once mogrify_int.c:1302: for each function it appears in.) So I downloaded ImageMagick6 and found the UndefinedCompressionQuality. Compilation of SIP went allright, excepted that man pages are not built (I have a Scilab prompt on the console). Hi, As I use it, I wanted to make a little change in it: I added xscale, yscale and zscale parameters to allow a direct display in mm (for example). The order of parameters is changed: It used to be: imxprofile(image,option,max_luminance). It's now: imxprofile(image,option,xscale,yscale,zscale,max_luminance). It makes the 2 full syntaxes incompatibles, but max_luminance is rarely used (and is a bit complex to pass manualy). As this function is quite new, I hope it causes no problems to anyone. Hi, With the help of a colleague, I made a new version for unwrapp: the function is now coded in C and interfaced with Scilab. The speed gain is very important. It works but I had to pass some arguments (line and col) as doubles in the interface function. I'd prefer to pass them as integers. It's not crucial, but it would be nicer. I tried with istk but with no result. Well, if you have the soluce... Probably the code can be improved (the variables type in particular), but I think the function is already much better than the previous unwrapp function coded in Scilab. In this release, we elliminated the dependency on the Gandalf library. You do not need to install it anymore, as long as you install Animal 0.13.0 or later. Download the new version at http://siptoolbox.sf.net/devel SIP reads/writes images in formats like JPEG, PNG, and BMP. It does filtering, edge detection, morphology, and shape analysis. Hi, As I still try to improve my contributions, and coded the unwrapl function in C. The speed gain is very very important: 14s to 0.1 in one of my tests. I first wanted to check the values of the optional parameters in the interface function, but I gave up: it's much much easier for me to write a scilab function that checks if the user gave optional parameters. If not, the scilab function calls the C function with the defaults parameters. I hope it suits you. Well... if it doesn't, I'll need some help. Everything seems to work fine until I come to creating html help: I got this message on the console: Creating html help files then scilab is launched on the console (not in its ordinary window) and no html file is created. It's strange: I recompiled sip-dev-20040428. I did not have this problem. So when I don't build the man pages, it seems to work fine. Something else: I suggest to resolve the add_help_chapter problem (cvs and 2.7 versions of scilab) by the function getversion(). What's new in this release: + bugfix to imread: when you read a non-indexed image (such as truecolor or binary) with two output parameters, imread crashed scilab in some cases. This is now fixed. (thx to D. Messing) + new rgbplot function to plot the RGB components of a colormap + imvariance is now coded in C for efficiency + new preliminary imxprofile, wich has some improvements to improfile but is not fully functional. + Thx to J. Hi, Jocelyn, the function is OK but scilab's display is still very
slow for displaying/redrawing images, so I added a remark in the manual section
about this. Also, I added the line:
xset('wshow')
just after the comment "//End of draw" of your function. This way,
before calling "imxprofile", the user can issue the following
conmmand:
imshow(image);
xset('pixmap',1);
this is double buffered graphics, which /should/ be much faster than
scilab's normal mode, but currently it is a bit slow, although the
annoying screen redrawing is eliminated in pixamp mode. If you have
the time, try these changes on your computer. It would be just great if
scilab's redrawing of images were faster...
