Hi, all, a new SIP-devel 20040428 is released. We now moved definitely to the new XML format, with all the 56 help files properly reviewed to a good quality level. Thanks for all the efforts of contributors for making this become reality. Special thanks goes to Vitor and Jocelyn. What's new in this release: + Help files in XML format were all totally revised; + new sip_colormap function (wasn't included before by mistake) + bwdist returns undefined image and a warning in case the input has every pixel different than 0. + Scilab scripts are now installed w/o exec perms (thx Torsten) + Sources ".sci" corresponding to ".bin" files are now installed + Enhanced example for gsm (1D Gaussian Smoothing) Download the new version at http://siptoolbox.sf.net/devel SIP reads/writes images in formats like JPEG, PNG, and BMP. It does filtering, edge detection, morphology, and shape analysis. Homepage: http://siptoolbox.sourceforge.net Compilation and installation is suited for Linux, but should workcorrectly in other unix systems. I use Slackware Linux 9.1. Please report to the list any problems that you see with SIP in other distros. You shall install the new SIP version over the older ones without problems, but if you want, you can remove the old version like this: in the unix shell, change dir to the old SIP-dev then type the following: prompt# make uninstall Enjoy!
