yep, SF was just havin pblms... when this sort of things happen,
you might want to check the SF status page:

However, the outage you said is not listed there.
If you're still havin pbms pls warn me with urgence.

Good news: I've been improving mogrify and it now works for color
images. This means *lots* of operations are now working for these
images (rotate, scale, sharpen, etc).

New sip-dev is due today or tomorrow. If time permits I'll release
a surprise just after it :^)
