If you are using Sipie only as a command line SIRIUS player for linux. I'd advise you to head over to http://github.com/Kasuko/sipie where me and a gang are gutting out the GUI, non mplayer backends and also windows support and hopefully building a much more stable program that does just one thing and does it well.
So if all you need is a Linux Command Line Sirius Player come check it out.
Plus it's much more 'open sourcey' on Github, so get over there and get hacking.
