    When I step away from my desk, my inactivity is correctly detected and my status changed to Idle. Great!

    However, when I return, it does not detect that I am active again and it leaves my status in Idle state indefinitely. I must manually change my status back to Available.

    Is this a known issue? Am I missing some setting somehow?

    I am using Pidgin 2.10.10-3.fc20 (libpurple 2.10.10), with Fedora 20.

    I have the following Plugins enabled:
    ExtPlacement
    History
    Join/Part Hiding
    Message Noftification
    Voice/Video Settings

    I'd appreciate any guidance.

    Thanks,
    Bob

    What version of the sipe plugin are you using? You can find that out in pidgin by doing.

    Accounts -> $accountname -> About SIPE Plugin.

    Make sure you are using 1.18.5 If you are not then you need to update it.

    Current version on Fedora is 1.18.4. At the time of this writing 1.18.5 is only available from updates-testing.

    I'm experiencing the same thing. I'm on a Mac running Yosemite 10.10.2, Adium 1.5.10, and SIPE 1.19.0. If Adium goes idle, SIPE leaves my Lync status as Away. I can log into the official Lync client, and I see my status is set to Away. I can update it to available, but it gets reset as soon as SIPE sets it back to Away.
