After connecting there are no displayed user names. I have to manually add an alias to each if i want to see the same. But when I hover over or get info everything is there.

No --debug log provided as requested by the FAQ. Closing as INVALID. Will consider to re-open if missing information is provided.

BTW: you usually don't have to enter the alias. Just select "Rename", clear the name and press enter. Then the alias provided by the server (if there is any), will be provided to Pidgin.

Update: After running in debug mode it pulled in all the names. However before this it did not matter how many times I reopened pidgin the names would not load. Hope this helps someone.

I have seen this happen to multiple people here too. It seems to only happen when you first start using it, but goes away eventually.

I experience the same problem with SIPE account: on the first run the contact name do not show up.
After a restart the contact name are there.

This should reopen because this is still an issue.
