DO you know how can i fix this? Probably you can make it work just telling the linker where to find libxpp.so, as /usr/local/lib is not a standard path. There are many ways to do that; a simple one is to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable with something like: $ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=3D/usr/local/lib --=20 Ciao, Enrico |

Hi all, I've been trying to install sipdht2 on my ubuntu but I am experiencing a problem and just think that maybe you could give me a hand with it. I have compiled and installed libxpp, libsipdht2, sofia and all required libs and also gsim-sipdht2 (finally) without errors, but when trying to execute gsim it didn't find libxpp.so (i have it in usr/local/lib). The thing is that I'm sure the path is correctly set inside configure file of gsim.... Did anyone have the same problem? DO you know how can i fix this? Thank you in advance. --=20 Sergi Puigvent=F3s |

So far sipdht2 can only be installed from sources; it can work on feisty too, but you need to manually upgrade sofia-sip libraries as there's a bug in version 1.12.4 which has only been fixed in 1.12.6. Packages to replace can safely be retrieved from debian repository and installed using dpkg. Here's the list of packages you need to install on festy: http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/sofia-sip/libsofia-sip-ua-dev_1.12.6-1_i386.deb http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/sofia-sip/libsofia-sip-ua-glib-dev_1.12.6-1_i386.deb http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/sofia-sip/libsofia-sip-ua-glib3_1.12.6-1_i386.deb http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/sofia-sip/libsofia-sip-ua0_1.12.6-1_i386.deb http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/sofia-sip/sofia-sip-bin_1.12.6-1_i386.deb -- Ciao, Enrico |

Hi, I have put the SIPDHTv1(CHORD-based) latests tarballs in the folder: http://sipdht.sourceforge.net/sipdht1/ Tell me if you need also the debian packages. Folks, after several months of silent work, we are now glad to announce a brand new version of sipdht. Everything's changed, from the protocol to the DHT algorithm. You can find it at http://sipdht.sourceforge.net/sipdht2/index.html As that's a very sharp change, we'll announce it on the p2psip list too. Enjoy it! -- Ciao, Enrico |

You are right, indeed libsipdht.pc is used only by other language bindings. (if you open configure.ac you see that AC_CHECK_LIB is used). So you have to set CFLAGS and LDFLAGS: CFLAGS=-I/home/myuser/devel/include LDFLAGS=-L/home/myuser/devl/lib ./configure Bye, Stefano 2007/4/16, Marcos <ma...@te...>: > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Hello, > > I'm trying to build sipdht-tools-0.4.1 with libsipdht-0.7.0. It is defenitely a bug in the configuration scripts; if you file a report in the bug tracking system, it will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime, you could explicitly set CPPFLAGS, LDFLAGS and LD_LIBRARY_PATH. For example, if libsipdht base dir was /tmp, sipdht-tools would need to be configured as follows: $ CPPFLAGS="-I/tmp/include" LDFLAGS="-L/tmp/lib" ./configure It would then compile, but still require LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to /tmp/lib before executing. Hope this helps. -- Ciao, Enrico |
