Hi Takahashi, Now that Repaya can be tested, could you please uncomment the repaya section in: http://cvs.m17n.org/viewcvs/*checkout*/m17n/m17n-db/si-wijesekera.mim?rev=1.11 I've actually been testing this input method with the Repaya section uncommented. It seems to work fine, the only issue is when backspacing the 'base consonant' gets deleted instead of the repaya. Phonetically this is correct, but since it is a graphical layout it would be better if the repaya was deleted first and then the base consonant. BTW, the preedit input method's behaviour WRT repaya is what I would expect. Thanks, # |

I will try to modify si-wijesekera.mim so that BS deletes the repaya first. -- TAKAHASHI Naoto nta...@m1... http://www.m17n.org/ntakahas/ |

BTW, I demonstrated both m17n Wijesekera input methods at ICTA (www.icta.lk), they were very impressed. Some of those individuals are on this mailing list. It performs much much better than the Wijesekera input method of some *other* operating system. ;-) cya, # |

When you type "f", "l" and "~" in this order, the current code inserts U+0DD9 U+0DBB U+0DCA U+200D U+0D9A (kombuva ra al-lakuna zwj ka) in the memory. However, it should be U+0DBB U+0DCA U+200D U+0D9A U+0DD9 (ra al-lakuna zwj ka kombuva) shouldn't it? -- TAKAHASHI Naoto nta...@m1... http://www.m17n.org/ntakahas/ |

In the file, using vim (press 'g' then 'a' whilst cursor is on a letter), I get: <ර> 3515, Hex 0dbb, Octal 6673 < ්> 3530, Hex 0dca, Octal 6712 <<200d>> 8205, Hex 200d, Octal 20015 <ක> 3482, Hex 0d9a, Octal 6632 < ෙ> 3545, Hex 0dd9, Octal 6731 cya, # |

Hmm... I checked the mim file, but could not find a bug. Which implies my m17n-lib (the latest CVS version) has a bug and yours does not. Actually, we updated m17n-lib a short time before. It is possible that something went wrong at that time. We will check. --=20 TAKAHASHI Naoto nta...@m1... http://www.m17n.org/ntakahas/ |

dear takahashi, you definitely don't have to apologize for doing such a great service to the sinhala language even without many of its beneficiaries knowing! on behalf of all those involved in sinhala localization (some of whom are lurkers, like me, on this list) let me express our sincere gratitude for your signification contribution in enabling sinhala on linux. thanks to your effort, soon we hope we will have a complete usable sinhala solution on open source instead of having to wait for such support on proprietary platforms... in case you ever pass by sri lanka, you *must* drop in at the university of colombo school of computing (www.ucsc.cmb.ac.lk - also see www.ucsc.cmb.ac.lk/ltrl for our language work), and i will make sure to introduce you to some of the many others who will have benefited by your work in sri lanka. pity i have no discretion to offer you honorary citizenship! best regards, ruvan. Sorry, my mistake, I was thinking of: http://cvs.m17n.org/viewcvs/m17n/m17n-db/si-wijesekera.mim?rev=1.15&view=log ------------------------------------------- Adjust to new semantics of @-1, @-2, etc. ------------------------------------------- When did the semantics change? Since m17n-lib-1.3.4. However, the latest si-wijesekera.mim should work with earlier versions because I paid attention to work around the difference of semantics. -- TAKAHASHI Naoto nta...@m1... http://www.m17n.org/ntakahas/ |
